Abstract
The zona reticulata, the subdivision of the substantia nigra containing dendrites of the dopaminergic nigro-neostriatal neurons, contains dopamine-sensitive adenylate cyclase activity. This nigral dopamine receptor is similar to the striatal dopamine receptor. These and previous data suggest a physiological role (or roles) for dopamine in the substantia nigra.Entities:
