Abstract
Obesity is a serious condition that often complicates chronic health conditions in older adults, making health promotion a challenge. Growing numbers of older adults means the number of older adults who are obese also will increase. Various authors have provided important information related to obesity and related complications in older adults; however, practical guidelines specific to nursing are lacking. This article summarizes and relates the findings on older adult obesity and provides suggestions for nursing interventions aimed at reducing obesity in older adults.Entities:
