Diagnosis of venous angiosarcoma by FDG PET/CT.

Eugene Lin1.

Abstract

A 56-year-old man with diffuse large cell lymphoma underwent posttherapy F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT). A new focus of intense uptake was detected in contact with the left external iliac vein. This was biopsied and diagnosed as an angiosarcoma of the external iliac vein.
