Abstract
Primary angle closure (PAC) typically occurs in eyes, which have a short axial length and a shallow anterior chamber. In myopic eyes, the axial length is usually longer than average and the anterior chamber is usually deep; PAC is rarely observed in these eyes. In a retrospective chart review of 322 cases of PAC, 6 cases occurred in myopic eyes. All cases were diagnosed by the use of indentation gonioscopy. This review emphasizes the importance of gonioscopy to detect PAC, even in myopic eyes.Entities:
