Suture suspension lifts: a review.

John Flynn1.

Abstract

There has been a recent trend toward minimally invasive procedures in all facets of cosmetic surgery. This trend is in keeping with a general movement toward more effective procedures with less tissue injury and less downtime for the patient. This change of attitudes is an important stimulus for the development and popularity of suture suspension techniques. This article describes the use of antiptosis suture threads in the techniques of Feather Lift, stitch lift, secure anchoring filaments for facial elevation lift, and adjustable vector midface lift. The use of these techniques in various locations and their advantages and disadvantages are addressed.
