Abstract
The quality of depression care, especially care received by minorities, needs improvement. Several interventions have been developed for the purpose of improving the quality of depression management in primary care, including quality improvement strategies employing disease management approaches, the chronic care model, and the Breakthrough Collaborative Series developed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. This article reviews these interventions and examines their potential to contribute to the improvement of depression care.Entities:
