Abstract
The clinical course of a patient on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis who developed peritonitis and tunnel infection due to an unusual pathogen, Citrobacter freundii, is described. The patient did not respond well to antibiogram-based therapy (intravenous meropenem and intraperitoneal gentamicin) and removal of the catheter was required.Entities:
