Abstract
Mathematical expressions were derived to describe the sagittal plane movements of the mandible. It was shown that mandibular rotation during protrusion was a function of incisor and condylar guidances, initial mandibular angulation, mandibular size, and the extent of the excursion. Cusp tip displacement and center of rotation calculation algorithms were also developed for the protrusive path.Entities:
