Promoting educational innovation: lessons from the request for proposals for ACR Appropriateness Criteria Usage in Medical Education.

Abstract

This article describes the development of a new ACR grant program, ACR Appropriateness Criteria Usage in Medical Education. Developed and funded over the course of a single year, the program provides grants totaling up to $60,000 annually to support innovation in radiology education. The development and implementation of this program provides lessons that can help radiology educators and leaders craft a brighter future for radiology education.
