Abstract
Acute necrotizing encephalopathy of childhood is a rare disease with a broad clinical, radiologic, and biochemical spectrum. In the few postmortem studies published to date, the neuropathologic findings involved symmetric, necrotic brain lesions as the hallmark. Here we report on the clinical and neuropathologic findings of a Spanish child with the most severe form of the disease.Entities:
