Abstract
Tubularisation of the urethral plate with a medial incision was popularized by Snodgrass in the late 1990s. Since then this procedure has emerged throughout the world as the method of choice for correction of primary hypospadias. The procedure is applied as the technique of choice for primary correction of hypospadias, regardless of the level of the hypospadic meatus and the width of the original urethral plate, and is also used in various situations for secondary hypospadias surgery.. The complication rate is about 5-10 % in primary cases and between 10% and 20% in revision surgery for hypospadias repair.Entities:
