Abstract
The human meniscus is important for normal knee function and distributes loads, aids in joint lubrication, congruence, stability, and proprioception. Repair of appropriate meniscal tears is possible and several methods exist to accomplish this including suture repairs and device repairs. Clinical evidence suggests that meniscal repairs can result in acceptable healing rates although adverse events have been reported for some devices. New self-adjusting suture devices have facilitated the accurate and effective repair of the torn meniscus. Technique descriptions for these devices are presented.Entities:
