Abstract
Laboratory reports of elevated serum calcium are common in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Distinguishing between measurements likely to cause symptoms and that require correction from those that are benign poses a challenge to the physician. Calcium stores, serum measurement, and regulation are reviewed as an introduction to understanding the etiology and treatment of hypercalcemia.Entities:
