Abstract
This paper describes the process and outcome of the efforts to develop a new standard for Personal Health Data (PHD) based on the existing 11073 family of standards for medical devices. It identifies the requirements for a standard that is to be applied to small devices with limited resources of processor, memory and power and that will use short range wireless technology. It describes how existing components of 11073, such the Domain Information Model and nomenclature have been used and adapted to create the new standard.Entities:
