Abstract
Articular cartilage is a fascinating tissue but due to its poor ability to self repair after injury, its also a troublesome tissue. The treatment of cartilage lesions is difficult and there exist many possible alternate treatments to repair an injured cartilage area. However, still there is a lack of randomized, controlled studies to tell which treatment that could be regarded as the gold cartilage repair standard. This paper gives an update of the different available treatments for local cartilage repair in use over the world and the clinical experience that have been encountered when using those methods.Entities:
