Abstract
We present a case of spontaneous intestinal evisceration through an umbilical hernia in a patient with alcoholic cirrhosis and long-standing ascites. Hernia rupture is an unusual and potentially life-threatening event in patients with tense ascites. Patients should be managed on an individual basis, balancing aggressive medical stabilization with the need for prompt surgical repair.Entities:
