Abstract
Typically, dendritic cells (DCs) induce peripheral tolerance under steady state but immunity during inflammation or infection. In this issue of Immunity, Jiang et al. (2007) identify disruption of E-cadherin interactions as a unique maturation pathway by which DCs are capable of mediating tolerance.Entities:
