Maria Waloch1.

Abstract

In the year 2005, 179 intestinal cestode infections were registered in Poland. Among them 109 were caused by Taenia saginata, 3 by T. solium, 59 by Taenia sp., 1 by Diphyllobothrium latum. Moreover, 34 cases of cystic echinococcosis were also registered. The obtained results confirmed decreasing frequency of intestinal cestodoses in Poland.
