Abstract
Considerable progress has been made in our understanding of the mechanisms underlying regulation of human IgE synthesis. Interleukin-4 induces IgE production specifically, but costimulatory signals provided by T cells are required. Other cytokines modulate interleukin-4-induced IgE synthesis. The roles of T cells and cytokines in regulating IgE switching are discussed.Entities:
