Leopold Auenbrugger: camphor-induced epilepsy - remedy for manic psychosis.

Abstract

Leopold Auenbrugger invented the art of diagnostic percussion. This paper recalls his use of camphor to induce epileptic fits, which were considered a remedy for psychosis.
