Abstract
The case is reported of a patient with granulocytic sarcoma of the right ovary and infiltration of granulocytic precursor cells into abdominal lymph nodes without any evidence of acute leukaemia on examination of the blood and bone marrow. Removal of the tumour and subsequent polychemotherapy was followed by remission. A local recurrence was treated with radiation and high-dose polychemotherapy. The patient has now been in complete remission for seven years. Thus, granulocytic sarcoma may have a good prognosis if treated with aggressive therapy, including operation, radiation, and high-dosage polychemotherapy.Entities:
