Abstract
The cerebrospinal fluid matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activities were measured in infants with posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus to elucidate the intrinsic mechanism for the resolution of ventricular dilation. Increased MMP-9 activities were observed in the patients who escaped a shunt operation, suggesting its potential contribution to the resolution of ventricular dilation.Entities:
