Abstract
In order to utilize macromolecules for drug targeting and delivery, a strategy to tether organometallic ruthenium-arene drugs to carrier protein molecules was developed. The approach involves the design of a drug fragment capable of conjugating to linker molecules on a modified carrier protein via hydrazone bond formation. The proof-of-concept using recombinant human serum albumin is described.Entities:
