Abstract
Visual loss associated with brain damage is the single greatest cause of visual impairment in children in developed countries. Damage may occur in any of five separate visual systems: primary visual cortex, visual associative cortex area, optic radiations, optic nerves, and visual attention pathways. Improving our understanding of the pathophysiology of these causes for visual loss may lead to better rehabilitation and educational strategies for these children.Entities:
