Abstract
This article describes a 9-year-old girl with clinical and laboratory features of Kawasaki disease. On day 7 of her febrile illness, she developed sudden loss of vision in the right eye. Visual acuity was no light perception. Dilated funduscopy showed diffuse intense retinal whitening, narrowing retinal arterioles, and a pale swollen disk-but no cherry-red spot. These findings suggested ophthalmic artery obstruction. Kawasaki disease can be sight-threatening.Entities:
