[Differences in nutrition behavior between weekends and work days: results of the nutrition survey in 1984/85 of the MONICA project in Augsburg].

G Winkler1, A Döring, U Keil.

Abstract

Seven-day food records of the MONICA project Augsburg dietary survey 1984/85 in 899 men aged 45-64 years were used to compare food and nutrient intake of weekdays and weekends. Differences were found in food intake. The mean intake of energy, macronutrients and especially alcohol was higher on weekends, whereas the dietary constituents independent of total energy intake, as percentage supply of energy from macronutrients, did not show huge differences.
