Abstract
Bronchopleural fistula can be a devastating complication of pulmonary resections. Treatment options are often limited and carry significant morbidity or mortality, or both. We present a case of bronchopleural fistula occurring after pulmonary lobectomy for aspergilloma in a patient with recurrent acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The bronchopleural fistula was treated using bronchoscopic obliteration with Tisseel VH Fibrin Sealant (Baxter Healthcare Corp, Westlake Village, CA) and small intestinal submucosa with complete resolution and no morbidity.
