Abstract
The goal of the present case report is to enhance recognition of the incidence of tissue calcifications, which are quite common in patients with end-stage renal disease. We focus on pulmonary metastatic calcifications and the potential progression of this condition to tissue necrosis and lung cavitations in the setting of severe electrolyte imbalance. This case highlights the importance of early identification of the causes and potential risk factors leading to visceral calciphylaxis.Entities:
