Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study chemical constituents from Ilex pubescens. METHOD: The constituents were isolated by chromatographic method and the structures were identified on the basis of spectral alanlysis. RESULT: Six lignin glycosides were identified as (7S, 8R) dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), (-)-olivil-4'-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), (7S, 8R) dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 4-O-beta-D-gluco-pyranosid (3), (+)-cyclo-olivil 6-O-p-D-glucopyranoside (4), (+)-medioresinol di-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (5), (+)-pinoresinol-4, 4'-O-bisglucopyranoside (6). CONCLUSION: All of them were isolated from this plant for the first time.
