Experiments in Flushing the Intestinal Canal, etc: A Series of Studies on Animals and on Human Cadavers for the Purpose of Determining Whether it is Practicable to Attempt to Remove a Part, or the Whole, of the Intestinal Contents by Washing out the Canal of the Small Intestine Through Enterotomy Openings, Systematically from Above Downwards; and, Finally, by Washing out the Colon from the Lowest Enterotomy Opening, the Contents of the Colon and Wash Water Escaping from the Anus.
