Abstract
Aptamers are rare nucleic acid ligands, which can be concocted in the laboratory from the randomized pool of molecules by affinity and amplification processes. Aptamers have several properties as they can be applied complementarily to antibodies and have several advantages over antibodies. In the past, several aptamers have been selected with a view to develop antiviral agents for therapeutic applications. This review summarizes potent antiviral aptamers and their strategies to prevent the viral replication.Mesh:
