Abstract
Subgaleal hematoma (SGH) is an infrequent finding in neonates, occurring mostly after vacuum extraction deliveries. SGH can cause anemia, hypovolemic shock, and death. To date, only one case of neonatal infected SGH has previously been reported. We describe a term neonate with severe polymicrobial infection complicating SGH, including anaerobic bacteria, and with unique imaging features.Entities:
