Accessory soleus muscle simulating a soft tissue tumor of the posteromedial ankle region.

Abstract

The author reports the case of an adolescent male diagnosed with a symptomatic accessory soleus muscle. Surgical exploration with intraoperative appearance is depicted. This malady is uncommon, although it has been reported primarily as a unilateral entity.
