Abstract
A simple mathematical model, based on the hypothesis that the psychological process underlying behavior is additive, was applied to the data of an experiment on the formation of personality impressions. Of 12 subjects, only three made responses which deviated by statistically significant amounts from responses predicted from the additive model, and these discrepancies were relatively small.Year: 1962 PMID: 17820996 DOI: 10.1126/science.138.3542.817
