Abstract
Newly laid eggs of the insect Locusta migratoria contain high concentrations (50 nanomoles per gram) of an ecdysone conjugate of maternal origin; 3 milligrams of this conjugate were isolated by conventional techniques, and the structure was established by mass spectrometry and (1)H, (13)C, and (31)P nuclear magnetic resonance as the 22-N(6)-(isopentenyl)-adenosine monophosphoric ester of ecdysone.Entities:
