Isotope separation by thermal diffusion in liquid metal.

Abstract

Isotopic enrichment of several percent has been obtained in liquid lithium metal by applying a temperature gradient over a single-stage separation column. For other metals the method should have the highest eficiency, if these have low melting points and are liquids over a wide temperature range.
