Abstract
Biliary atresia constitutes a serious problem in early infancy, due to the concomitant cholestasis. The conventional classification falls into 3 main types: type I, atresia of the common bile duct; type II, atresia of the hepatic duct; and type III, atresia of the porta hepatis. We report 2 unusual cases of biliary atresia type III with a cystic structure that could be mistaken for correctable biliary atresia or choledochal cyst.Entities:
