Abstract
In a UK-wide survey, 28% of neonatal units reported using systemic or topical/oral antifungal prophylaxis for very low birthweight infants. Systemic prophylaxis is targeted to extremely preterm infants with additional risk factors for invasive fungal infection. Currently, there seems to be sufficient variation in practice to undertake randomised trials of these interventions.Entities:
