Abstract
During development, embryonic cells sculpt three-dimensional tissues. Although cell polarity is commonly analysed along one, and sometimes two, dimensions, this perspective illustrates how higher-order cell polarity regulates convergent extension - the coordinated cell rearrangement that produces solid tissue elongation.Entities:
