Abstract
Transposition of the mental nerve is a preprosthetic procedure that is effective for patients with hyperaesthesia caused by the effect of a dental prosthesis on the alveolar ridge. We present the case of a 74-year-old woman with pain and hyperaesthesia of the right inferior alveolar nerve caused by a dental prosthesis. Caudal transposition of the right mental nerve by piezosurgery resulted in postoperative neurosensory controls of the lower lip showing normal nerve function 2 months later.Entities:
