[Pathomechanism of metabolic disorders in HCV infection].

A number of recent reports have focused on the closed relationship between hepatitis C virus (HCV), steatosis and insulin resistance. Among these patients, fatty liver associated with features of the metabolic syndrome. Pathomechanisms of this event has not been cleared yet. Steatosis hepatic is principally metabolic in HCV--genotype 1 infected persons, whereas it is virus--induced in HCV--genotype 3 infected patients.
