Abstract
Carotid dissection and cerebral infarction are extremely rare complications of tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. We describe a 12-year-old boy who presented with a right internal carotid dissection and right middle cerebral artery infarction, associated with tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. We discuss the risk factors that may predispose patients to these complications.Entities:
