Abstract

OBJECTIVE: An undiagnosed anterior meningocele may mimic an ovarian cyst. Careful evaluation and consultation must be the mainstay of surgery for adnexal masses.
RESULTS: A patient initially diagnosed as having an adnexal mass was discovered to have an anterior meningocele at surgery. In vitro fertilization plans were delayed to prevent complications during procedures. (c) 2007 S. Karger AG, Basel
