OBJECTIVE: An undiagnosed anterior meningocele may mimic an ovarian cyst. Careful evaluation and consultation must be the mainstay of surgery for adnexal masses. RESULTS: A patient initially diagnosed as having an adnexal mass was discovered to have an anterior meningocele at surgery.
