Abstract
Echocardiography is a most useful bedside tool to help in the diagnosis and subsequent management of patients with infective endocarditis. Transesophageal echocardiography provides complementary and often incremental information necessary in making a diagnosis, and in identifying associated intracardiac complications. This chapter will focus on the role of echocardiography in the diagnosis and management of infective endocarditis.Entities:
