Hypertensive drugs in pregnancy. Antihypertension therapy in pregnancy, preeclampsia, and eclampsia.

Abstract

The value of antihypertensive drugs in pregnancy is unproved. This article summarizes the available literature on the subject and gives guidance to the obstetrician who is considering the use of these agents in pregnancy. The possible benefits and side-effects are discussed.
