Abstract
Molecular systems biology seeks to explain the behavior of complex cellular systems through a multicomponent analysis. We illustrate this approach and its relevance to drug development by reviewing two examples of the interplay between cellular processes and drugs: the internalization and recycling of oncogenic receptors, their ligands and therapeutic antibodies; and strategies for discovering drugs that affect intracellular protein kinase pathways.Mesh:
