Abstract
Hemostasis represents a finely tuned balance between procoagulant and anticoagulant forces. An imbalance of these forces may lead to clinically significant disease, including arterial, venous and/or microvascular thrombosis. The vast majority of hypercoagulable states are associated with local thrombus formation. The goal of this review is to discuss the mechanisms underlying site-specific thrombosis.Entities:
