Abstract
The incidence of second palatal root in the maxillary second molar is very rare. This case report describes the treatment of a 4-rooted maxillary second molar with 2 distinct palatal roots. Clinical examination and radiographs showed the presence of a second palatal root. After biomechanical preparation, the root canals were filled with gutta-percha cones and AH26 sealer. One year later, the restored tooth and periodontal tissues were healthy both clinically and radiographically.Mesh:
