Giant coronary aneurysm following drug-eluting stent implantation presenting as fever of unknown origin.

Development of coronary aneurysm following drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation has been increasingly reported in the last few years. Most of the authors cited local inflammation and hypersensitivity in the vessel wall as the primary etiology. We report a similar case of giant aneurysm formation following DES implantation. The unique feature of this case report is the systemic manifestations along with the presence of an intense local inflammatory reaction at the stent implantation site.
