Abstract
Two new 4-methylated steroids, erectasteroids A and B (1 and 2), six new 19-oxygenated steroids, erectasteroids C-H (3-8) and two known 19-oxygenated steroids (9 and 10) were isolated from the acetone solubles of the Formosan soft coral Nephthea erecta. The structures were elucidated by extensive NMR spectroscopic analysis and their cytotoxicity against selected cancer cells was measured in vitro.Entities:
